Support the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center and Foundation by donating to the Foundation’s GoFundMe campaign to support the Foundation and club during the pandemic! Be sure to continue to do something for someone else, whether it’s calling an elderly neighbor to check in, helping a friend pick up groceries, or other acts of kindness while practicing social distancing! And please share this link on your pages and with friends and family! Any size donation is greatly appreciated – consider donating an amount equivalent to what you would spend for dinner and drinks a few nights a month at the club! Thank you so much for your support!
Kudos to Kathy Hearty, Katie Gehan, Mary Jane Schwebler, and Mary Tomaino, along with other members of the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Foundation, who pitched in to provide a hot Irish meal, courtesy of our own Maria in the kitchen, to nurses and staff at Danbury Hospital’s ICU and 8 Tower floors last evening! Shepherd’s pie, fixings, and cake, cookies and brownies were delivered to Danbury Hospital last evening for distribution! The GDICC continues to reach out to our community!

The purpose of the GDICF is to establish a permanent place in the Danbury community dedicated to preserving the cultural influences and historical contributions of the Irish people who emigrated to this country and in particular to the Danbury area. Centered by the motto “Tradition, Pride, Friendship and Community”, the Greater Danbury Cultural Foundation (and the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center) will be a place where the Irish language, music and dance can be taught to young and old alike: Irish books and history may be collected and shared: and Irish Craic (camaraderie) may be enjoyed.
Get excited about your Irish heritage or explore Irish culture at the GDICC and through its activities!
