Welcome to the 2021 GDICF Online Silent Auction page!

On this page, you will be able to view our silent auction catalog of items, fill out your Bidder Information Form so we know how to contact you if you have a winning bid on one of our items, and you will be able to bid on a number of exciting items that have been generously donated by members and friends of the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Foundation and Center!

This is a new process for many of us, so we want to give some guidance with the bidding process. You must complete the Bidder Information Form with your name and contact information, so we can let you know if you have any of our winning bids, after the silent auction closes this Saturday night at 8 pm. Up until that time, please continue to check the items on which you have bid, to make sure that you have a winning bid, if you want to win a particular item. If you would prefer to bid “anonymously”, you may use a number for your bidding, but you must let us know what your number is so we know who you are if/when you have a winning bid on Saturday night! Email us at media@gdicf.org to let us know if you decide to use a number for your bidding and what that number is.

You have to bid at least the stated minimum bid amount, and you MUST have the highest bid on an item to win it – when you are completing the bid form for an item, please be sure to click on the link below where it says “Please click here for current bid on this item!” – there will be a blue link below that statement – when you click on that link, a spreadsheet will come up that shows the bids on the item, and you must bid higher than any current bids that are there. Any items for which the minimum bid has not been met will be saved for future auctions or raffles.

The silent auction will be “live” online until Saturday, April 17th at 8 pm, at which time we will close the bidding and declare the winning bids. For those who would like to see the items in person, they will be on display on the evening of April 17th from 5:30 to 8 pm, when bidding closes. If you are present that evening and have a winning bid, you will be able to pay for your item(s) that evening and take it/them home with you! If you are not present, you will be notified using the information on your Bidder Information Form, and arrangements for payment and pick up can be made – we take cash, checks made payable to GDICF, payment through our PayPal account (fees may apply!), or through the GDICC pub register. Please note that you must be able to come to the GDICC to pick up any physical items you win in the auction – we are not able to ship anything to people.
